Arsenic Exposure via Contaminated Water and Food Sources

چکیده
Arsenic poisoning constitutes a major threat to humans, causing various health problems. Almost everywhere across the world certain “hotspots” have been detected, putting in danger local populations, due potential consumption of water or food contaminated with elevated concentrations arsenic. According relevant studies, Asia shows highest percentage significantly sites, followed by North America, Europe, Africa, South America and Oceania. The presence arsenic ecosystems can originate from several natural anthropogenic activities. be then gradually accumulated different sources, such as vegetables, rice other crops, but also seafood, etc., sources (mainly groundwater, lesser extent surface water), potentially used drinking-water supplies, provoking their contamination therefore problems consumers. This review reports areas worldwide that present sources. Furthermore, it discusses at these well selected treatment technologies, aiming remove this pollutant mainly waters thus reduction prevention population towards exposure.

Age is the most common risk factor for erectile dysfunction (ED), the consistent or recurrent inability to attain and/or maintain a penile erection sufficient for sexual performance. The correlation between age and ED is attributed to declines in testosterone levels; growing evidence links the condition to cardiovascular disease (CVD) as well. Now researchers from Taiwan have found a direct cor...
متن کاملInvestigation of Health Effects According to the Exposure of Low Concentration Arsenic Contaminated Ground Water
Recent epidemiological studies have reported adverse health effects, including skin cancer, due to low concentrations of arsenic via drinking water. We conducted a study to assess whether low arsenic contaminated ground water affected health of the residents who consumed it. For precise biomonitoring results, the inorganic (trivalent arsenite (As III) and pentavalent arsenate (As V)) and organi...
